  • Acceptance

    I have come to

    Accept-

    It is what it is.

I am at where I’m at.

God will do what He does.

    I try to follow where

    He leads,

    and whatever happens

    Happens.

    It’s not for me He

    opens doors.

I am His hands and feet, a part of His body.

I pray I accept this tomorrow, too.

  • We always blame

    We always blame the women.

“It’s always their fault. Their beauty distracted me. Their words confused me! Their bodies drove me crazy”

Are you a child to have no control?

Are you only a body with no mind?

    This describes a boy-

    not a Man.

    Own your mistakes.

    own your actions.

they are an excuse, and you use them as such.

  • repentance

    we turn back to You

    doubtless that You will renew

my hope, my joy, my peace in You

    I’ve wandered away.

    But I come back,

    help me stay beside You

help me stay on track with Your will.

  • In the name of Jesus

Make these chains less than dust.

May these walls be Rubble soon

    Walls that contain

    Walls that constrain

    strongholds in my mind

the devil has claimed this room he

    thinks it’s his.

    he thinks

    it’s his way in

    the gap is

    sealed

    it’s being cleansed.

Being scrubbed in the blood of the lamb

the chains that hold me down will be less than rubble soon

  • taste of the Feast

    I sometimes think I imagine

I have a small taste of Christ

    to wait in faith

to be eager for the wedding

but to have a bride unsure

if she is unsure, it will not happen

but I have faith that it will.

My Father in Heaven has said it

    ___

to be so eager and to still be me

for that is all I can be.

    lies cause damage,

    the pain and strife

what lies to I believe of myself?

What lies do others believe of themselves?

    ___

You can lead a horse to water but you cannot

    make them drink.

    They must be willing and

seek on their own, in their own way

    in their own time.

All you can do is be there

ready to give them the water

    when they seek it.

    That’s all.

Let God the Father do the rest

  • Keeping my word

    conflict of time and agreement.

    I said I’d help you.

    I may not be able.

    I said I’d helped you.

    it will inconvenience another.

I said I’d help you. I will keep my word

though it will not make her happy.

  • Talk poem

I talk and you talk and we talk

I assume, you assume, we assume,

We don’t talk around each other.

We don’t talk through each other.

We try to talk to each other

    __

I try to be silent, to protect you.

You try to be silent to protect me.

Our silence only hurts each other.

    Our silence only hurts ourselves.

I do not want to hurt you.

You do not want to hurt me.

    __

    your jokes and play

    sometimes hurt me.

    My play and jokes

    sometimes hurt you.

I talk, you talk, we talk

    __

    Our communication is

    Better than it was.

    I talk, you talk.

    We talk

  • I feeling

    Discouragement, delay

    God answers:

    Deuteronomy 31 verse 2.

    I look it up

2  I am 120 years old, and I am no longer able to be your leader. And besides that, the Lord your God has told me that he won’t let me cross the Jordan River.”

I wonder how did Moses feel?

    __

    Discouragement, confusion

    How did Moses feel?

He spoke with God like a friend

    yet how did he

feel at this end of this life?

  • Marketplace

To be in the marketplace I don’t know how

I do not at this moment truly understand

every cent and dollar is a gift

but things do not come for free. Not without effort

    not striving, but trying

and what is in my heart? My why?

I do things that matter to God. This matters to me. It shapes the impact

I don’t know how to be in the marketplace and not

    make a fool of myself.

  • to Follow

    To follow my King

though death and evil stalk me

    to follow my King

through darkness and fear and doubt

    to follow my King

through paths of difficulty and pain

    to follow my King

He’s promised presents beyond His presence – which alone is amazing.

To those who’ll stick to it through the end,

    to follow my King

    Joy, and Life and Reward
